Of all the states that offer elk hunting, Utah is one of the most popular. There are hundreds of thousands of acres available for hunting, cutting down on the chance for an overcrowding of sportsmen. When overcrowding occurs, elk will often move further into the wilds, resulting in a disappointing hunting season for many.
